Why start from a still
Video is the expensive step, so the cheap way to a good clip is to get the frame right first. Images cost cents to iterate: explore composition, lighting, and styling as stills, then animate only the frames worth animating.
Ciyo is built around exactly that loop. The image generators and the video generator share one canvas and one credit balance, so a generated still becomes a video reference with one selection — no exporting, re-uploading, or switching products.
For controlled motion, Seedance 2.0's Frames mode takes a first and a last frame and renders the movement between them — storyboard-to-shot rather than prompt-and-pray.
Which model to pick
Seedance 2.0 covers most image-driven work: up to nine image references plus video and audio inputs, four to fifteen seconds per clip, up to 4K, with native audio on a toggle. Seedance 2.5 takes up to thirty stills and renders up to thirty seconds at up to 1080p.
For drafts, Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini render the same durations at up to 720p for less. The settings card shows every model's real options and its exact price as you switch, so choosing a model is a comparison, not a guess.
