GPT-6 Astra Free? Plan a Creative Task on a Credit Budget

We planned a weekend promotion for a fictional café on September 19, 2026 and recorded the demo account's balance at each step. The numbers below are from that one run and will change as prices change.
Know what costs credits in Ciyo
Ciyo's pricing page says each image, video and canvas edit shows its price and debits your balance when you run it, and that nothing else spends credits. Credits are sold in packs with no subscription, and failed generations are refunded.
In our session, GPT-6 Astra chat turns did not change the balance: it read 9,274 credits before and after the planning turn, and later review turns also left it unchanged. Planning is where you should spend your thinking time, because it is where mistakes are cheapest.
Ask Astra for a generation plan, not a guess
We asked Astra to plan a promotion for a new honey-lavender latte: one 1:1 feed image, one 9:16 story and a small logo mark for the cup sticker, with one revision each, and to estimate the credit cost.
Astra returned six generations with model and settings for each (GPT Image 2.5 Flare, Medium, 1K). It then said it could see the models and settings but not the per-image credit prices, so it gave the total as six times the per-image price instead of inventing a number. That is the honest answer, and it tells you where to look next.
I run a fictional neighborhood café, Juniper Lane Café. Each generation button in Ciyo shows its price before you run it. With GPT Image 2.5 Flare, 1:1 and 1K selected and our feed prompt entered, the button showed 2 credits. A 9:16 story image at 1K showed 1 credit in the same session.
Multiply the button quote by the number of planned generations to get your budget. Settings matter: resolution, quality, prompt length and reference images can change the quote.
Confirm the charge in your balance
After the run, the balance moved from 9,274 to 9,272 credits, exactly the quoted 2. Checking the balance once after the first run confirms that your budget arithmetic is right before you commit to the rest of the plan.

Spend the budget on decisions, not rerolls
Most wasted credits come from regenerating without a reason. Before a revision, write what failed and change only that. Keep a small reserve, about one extra generation per deliverable, for the result you do not expect.

Video is where budgets move fastest. Our 5-second 720p Seedance 2.0 Mini clip from a still photo showed 26 credits, while one Flare image cost 1 to 2 credits. Make and approve the still first, then animate only the version you will use.
